High School: As a senior, earned both Missouri First Team Class 4 All-State honors and the Missouri All-State Goalkeeper of the Year award… In those 27 starts in goal as a senior, Payne posted 16 shutouts (13 solo), a .51 goals against average and 92 saves… During his final two years at De Smet Jesuit HS, compiled a record of 38-10-2 as the goalie of record… His HS team finished second in state competition when Payne was a senior… Mentioned with the scholar-athlete award all four years in high school… Also played baseball as a centerfielder and was all-conference on the diamond twice.
Personal: Born Jan. 21, 2001... Played club ball for the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Soccer Club and the Lou Fusz Soccer Club… Son of Drew and Christine Sticht and has three siblings, twin Luke, Ava and Adalyn… Luke will play soccer at Truman State University next Fall… Uncle (Matt Hejlek) played soccer at UMKC… Plans to major in Pre-Health Sciences.
