KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Softball (12-20, 3-6 Summit) picked up its first wins of Summit League play this weekend after beginning the conference season against the league's top two teams, sweeping past South Dakota State (20-23, 5-4 Summit) in three games. The Roos combined to outscore the Jackrabbits 21-11 in the series, earning their first win against SDSU since 2021, winning a series against the Jackrabbits for the first time since 2017 and sweeping the Jacks in a three-game series for the first time in program history.
