2009-10 -- Joined the team as a walk-on prior to the season... did not see any game action.
High School -- All-district selection as a senior at Lincoln Prep High School after averaging 14.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.2 steals... scored 27 points to go along with 12 rebounds and five steals against Center and finished with 24 points, 14 boards and three steals in the 74-52 win over Pembroke Hill... averaged a double-double (15.1 points/11.2 rebounds) as a junior... the 11.2 boards per game led the Interscholastic League (IL)... led the team in rebounding as a junior and senior... netted 14 points againsts St. Joe-Lafayette to help his team advance to the quarterfinals in 2007... two-time team captain and four-year letterwinner... guided squad to three IL district championships from 2006-09... claimed the Homeschooled National Championship "B" Division in 2005-06... LPHS advanced to the 4A state sectionals in 2006-07 and placed third in the state during his junior season after finishing with a 23-10 overall record.. was named the 2005 Kansas City Metro Most Improved Player... played AAU ball for the Missouri Ballers from 2006-08... also was a two-year letterwinner in football and ran the 4x200 in track & field... was a member of the honor roll from 2005-09.
Personal -- Born on March 29, 1991... son of Alan and Yolanda Young... has three siblings - Alana, Alan and Alex... is an Eagle Boy Scout... was the President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes in 2007-08, a member of the Iranhoe Council Youth Committee and a camp lifeguard and Big Brother at Camp Cumcito... majoring in pre-law.
