2009 -- Saw action in 31-of-31 matches on the year with 16 starts, and played in 114-of-114 games... finished with a team-high 617 assists and 33 aces, while finishing fourth with 240 digs... moved into eighth place all-time on the UMKC career assists list with 1177... led team in assists in 26 matches... finished second on the team with 10 double-doubles, recording them in matches against North Dakota (8/28), Sacred Heart (9/5), Oakland (9/10), IPFW (9/12), Western Illinois (9/18), Southern Utah (9/26), North Dakota State (10/3), IUPUI (10/17), South Dakota State (10/31) and SIU Edwardsville (11/10)... 33 assists in 3-1 loss at Western Illinois tied a career-high and was the team's season-high... led team in digs in 3-1 loss vs. IPFW with 13 and in 3-0 loss at South Dakota State with 11... led team in aces in 15 matches... High School -- Second team all-state selection as a senior... also was a first team all-area, first team all-conference and team captain... finished second in the state in assists (1,202) in all classes... honorable mention all-area and honorable mention all-conference as a sophomore and junior... finished with 2,309 assists (8.10 p/game) and 473 digs in her career... holds school records for most assists in a single season, most career assists and most assists in a single game... led Skutt to a third place state finish as a senior... also tallied four top-three conference finishes, which included Skutt’s first ever conference title in 2007... played seven years of club volleyball for the Nebraska Raw Elite, which was the Team of the Year in 2007 and 2008... won the Northern Lights Open Qualifier in 2007 and qualified for Nationals for four straight years... also played basketball and soccer... high school coach was Ryan Blodgett... club coach was Steve Bymers and Laurel Derry... three-time academic all-conference honoree.
Personal -- Born on Feb. 17, 1990... daughter of Walt and Colleen Wellwood... father, Walt, played hockey at Nebraska-Omaha... youngest of five children... two brothers, Andrew and John, played collegiate baseball at Briar Cliff University... also has six cousins that played college athletics... majoring in nursing.
