Kansas City Heads to Arkansas For The Chile Pepper Festival

Fayetteville, AR - Kansas City returns to the course this week to compete in the Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday October 3rd.Â
ÂThe Roos will race at Agri Park this weekend as they prepare for the Summit League Cross Country Championships. The men's 8k race will start at 10:25 a.m., followed by the women's race at 11.Â
ÂSaturday's meet marks the second competition this year for the Roos. Multiple Roos' are looking to continue to build momentum at this meet with senior Sam Cleary and sophomore Braxton Theel both named to Summit League's Men's 2026 Cross Country Athletes to watch list in addition Harper Barlow represents the Roos on the women's side making the Summit League Women's 2026 Cross Country Athletes To Watch List.Â
ÂThe Roos were picked to finish seventh for the men's and eighth for the women's in the Summit League Preseason Poll, with conference championships at the end of October the Chile Pepper Festival gives the Roos the opportunity to compete against good competition in preparation of Conference Championships.Â
