
Rivera, Jacober Tabbed to Summit League Academic All-League Teams

Both athletes boasted cumulative 4.0 GPA's following cross country season
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Kansas City Cross Country saw Alanie Rivera and Connor Jacober earn spots on the 2025 Summit League Men's/Women's Cross Country Academic All-League Teams following fantastic seasons on the race course and in the classroom. Kansas City returns to academic all-league status for cross country after an absence last season. Kai White and Shavelle Shaw took home academic all-league status during track season last year but this is the Roos first bid to a conference cross country academic honor in multiple seasons.Â
Rivera earned a 4.0 GPA in the classroom, dual majoring in psychology and criminal justice. Rivera was one of four women's athletes to achieve a 4.0 following a great senior campaign. The Kissimmee, Fla. native ran in all five of the Roos meets across the 2025 season, setting numerous personal records in the 5k and the 6k. Rivera ran a 20:02.8 at the Bob Timmons Classic to set a new career-best 5k time and dashed a 23:04.7 in the Summit League XC Championship 6k race, also giving her a new career-best for the event.Â
Jacober sported a 4.0 GPA in the classroom, majoring in mechanical engineering and was one of five 4.0 men's athletes on the academic all-league team this year. Jacober ran in four meets for the Roos during the 2025 season, running a career-best in the 8k with a time of 28:59.2 at the Summit League Cross Country Championships. Jacober also ran a 6k time of 29:46.1 at the Bob Timmons Class to open his sophomore season.Â
