Volleyball Soars Pass Oral Roberts In Conference Opener

Kansas City, MO - The Roos took on Oral Roberts on Saturday starting conference play off strong with a 3-0 sweep of the Golden Eagles.
Kansas City (7-6), controlled most of the match (25-23, 25-15, 25-21) including a dominant second set performance out-scoring the Golden Eagles by ten which is their second largest margin of victory in a set this season.
Ryanne Wattree continues to perform for the Roos boasting a 16 kill performance at an outstanding .464 clip. Emry Brown was also a major contributor in the win providing Kansas City with a little bit of everything on the court, 11 kills and 13 digs.Â
Kansas City finish with three different players hitting at a .400% or higher (Wattree, Stella Smith, and Natalie Ptacek. Coco Buschorn also finished with a career high 25 assists in the match.
The result pushed the Roos to 1-0 to start conference play with two more home games this week for a chance to start 3-0.Â
