No. 14 Kansas City Draws No. 12 Missouri State in Six-Goal Thriller

Roos Never Quit, Battle No. 12 Missouri State to 3-3 Draw
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The 14th-ranked Kansas City Men's Soccer team gets a well-deserved 3-3 draw on the road against in-state rival No. 12 Missouri State.
The Bears came out on the front foot, recording a shot and forcing a save from Brandon Kincaid in the opening minute. Missouri State would strike first in the ninth minute, as Ben Furlong found the bottom-left corner after a Kansas City turnover to put the hosts ahead, 1-0.
Kansas City nearly found the equalizer in the 28th minute when Mark Ramarola's shot rang off the crossbar. The Roos would eventually break through just before halftime, with Elouan Labadie-Vincent finding the back of the net in the 45th minute for his first goal in Kansas City colors. Pablo Morato and Brice Miller Jr. were credited with assists on the equalizer, sending the match into halftime tied at 1-1.
Kansas City opened the second half with immediate pressure, as Miguel Fernandez fired a shot just 30 seconds into the period. The Roos would take the lead in the 55th minute, as Labadie-Vincent completed his brace by putting away a rebound following a shot from Makhi Francis.
Missouri State responded with two goals in 12 minutes to regain the lead. Boavida found the back of the net in the 67th minute before Real struck in the 79th, with Boavida earning the assist.
The Roos continued to battle and were rewarded late, as Spaniard Mariano Beunza scored in the 88th minute to equalize the match at 3-3 with just minutes remaining.
Kansas City had shouts for a handball inside the box in the 89th minute. Following a VAR review, no penalty was awarded, and the match ultimately ended in a 3-3 draw.
With the result, Kansas City moves to 4-1-2 on the season and extends its unbeaten streak to four matches.
