
Men's Basketball Signs Cameron Love

Love is a three-star prospect from Olathe North HS
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Basketball has added a fifth area prospect to the signing class of 2026, announcing the addition of Cameron Love today. A three-star prospect according to 247 Sports, Love is a 6'4 guard from Olathe North and recently won the KSHSAA 6A State Championship.
"I chose Kansas City because Coach Turgeon came in with a plan," Love said. "It's my hometown city and I want to make a difference in the city and change Kansas City basketball."
Love played at Olathe North HS for Coach Adam Olerich, starting all four years of his prep career. He averaged 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals per game, leading the Eagles to a state championship trophy his senior season. Love was named First Team All-State and Defensive Player of the Year, becoming just the third player in Olathe North history to surpass the 1,000 career points plateau. He leaves the Eagles as the winningest player in school history.
Love played club ball for KC Run GMC and Coach LJ Goolsby, where he was a member of the 16U UAA champions. In addition to basketball, he also played football and was a member of the Black Student Union.
Love was born on Dec. 28, 2007 to parents Demarcus and Tierra Love. His mother Tierra attended Oral Roberts and was a member of the drill team. He has two siblings, Lele and Caedon. Lele had an illustrious collegiate basketball career, playing at Georgia Tech, Louisville and Houston.
