Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball remains at the Swinney Center for a meeting with North Dakota on Saturday evening. The Roos will look to bounce back from Thursday's loss to North Dakota State and move back to .500 in Summit League play.
- Karmello Branch has led Kansas City's scoring efforts in six-straight games and is averaging 19.8 points per game across that stretch. Since Dec. 10 he has raised his scoring average by four points from 9.4 to 13.4 points per game.
- Jayson Petty set a new career-best mark with six assists in Thursday's game against the Bison, bringing his season average to 1.8 assists per game. For reference, Petty dished out 11 total assists in 32 games played during his freshman campaign.
- Kansas City connected on 8-of-22 three-point attempts on Thursday evening, good for a 36.4% clip. After shooting below 35% from three in eight-straight games from Nov. 15 through Dec. 10, the Roos have now shot above that mark in six of their last seven games.
- Kasheem Grady II came off the bench for the second-straight game against NDSU, scoring 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting. He gave the Roos' bench a scoring spark that it has rarely had - KC's bench ranks 292nd in the nation in scoring and his 18-point performance was the most by a non-starter this season.
North Dakota Notes
- North Dakota enters Saturday's contest with an 8-11 record overall and a 2-1 mark in Summit League play. The Fighting Hawks dropped their most recent game, a 90-79 decision at Omaha.
