Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Women's Soccer rides a three-game winning streak into Sunday's meeting with Tulsa. Should the Roos win their fourth-straight, it would be the team's longest winning streak since Oct. 20 through Nov. 6, 2019.
- Delfina Zolesio has been on a goal-scoring frenzy across the past two games, scoring three against Rockhurst and going for a brace in the win over Lindenwood. Her five goals across two games ties the most in program history, previously accomplished by Taylor Bare in the 2013 season.
- Ashley Koch notched the Roos' third goal of the game in the win against the Lions, counting as her third-straight game-winner. The last time the Roos had a player with three game-winning goals in a season was in 2019 when Rylan Childers and Lindsey Prokop reached that mark.Â
- Rose Proteau stepped into a starting role for the first time in her collegiate career, playing 85 minutes in the stead of the injured Emery Ruliffson. Proteau leads all KC freshmen with 252 minutes played on the year.
- After scoring just two goals in their first three contests, Kansas City has gone for 10 goals in the last two games combined, moving their season scoring average to 2.4 goals per game. That mark ranks second in the Summit League and 51st in the nation.
Tulsa Notes
- Tulsa also holds a 3-2 record coming into Sunday's match up following a 4-0 win over Southern Nazarene on Thursday.
- 2022 First Team American All-Conference player Jordan Frederick is off to a hot start this year, leading the team with four goals and three assists.
- The Golden Hurricane average 2.8 assists per game, ranking 22nd in the nation.
- The all-time series between the Roos and the Golden Hurricane stands at 3-2-2 in favor of Tulsa. They have played each of the last four years.
- Kansas City took the last meeting, a 2-1 win in KC on Sep. 8, 2024 that saw Madison Page go for a brace.
