2/27/2025 10:30:00 PM | Women's Basketball
Contreras led the Roos in scoring for the fifth consecutive game with 16 points
FARGO, N.D. — The Roos battled with a strong North Dakota State (18-10, 10-5) squad across the first frame, but a low-scoring second quarter became an insurmountable barrier with Kansas City Women's Basketball (10-20, 6-9) falling 67-93 to the Bison.
Alayna Contreras led the Roos from the field for the fifth consecutive game, earning 16 points and shooting 2-of-5 beyond the arc. Elauni Bennett joined her in the double-digits with ten points and a team-high six rebounds. Kelby Bannerman and Emani Bennett added nine points each towards the cause, but the offensive onslaught from the Bison proved too much for Kansas City. The Roos and the Bison split the regular season for the first time in the Coach Jackson Durrett era.
