Kansas City Sweeps Summit Tennis Peak Performers of the Week

Catherine Chrobak earns the singles honor; Joana Miralles and Sophie Marshman take the doubles crown
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Following a weekend sweep of Missouri State and Central Arkansas, Kansas City Tennis has completed another sweep; this time claiming the titles of Summit League Kwik Star Peak Singles and Doubles Performers of the Week. Catherine Chrobak is named the singles player of the week the second time in her career while Joana Miralles Cardona and Sophie Marshman earned the doubles honor.
Chrobak took a pair of wins this weekend from the No. 2 singles position, propelling the Roos to a pair of victories. She began with a three-set victory against Missouri State on Friday, taking a 5-7, 6-1, 6-0 decision over MSU's Lucy Latham. She then handled business soundly on Saturday afternoon, taking a 6-1, 6-3 win over UCA's Nanoka Kazama.
The duo of Miralles and Marshman helped Kansas City start off with a doubles point in both matches, taking a pair of victories at the No. 1 position. They won a grid-it-out battle against Missouri State, 7-6 (7-5) before using a 6-3 victory over Central Arkansas to set the tone.
Kansas City returns to action this weekend in Las Vegas, playing three matches from Friday to Sunday.
