Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Men's Basketball plays its fourth Power conference opponent of the season on Thursday evening, taking on Oklahoma State in the Roos' eighth true road game of their first 13 games. The Roos are coming off a loss at Oklahoma in which they outscored the Sooners by five in the second half.
- Karmello Branch dropped a career-high 23 points on Tuesday, going 7-of-12 from the field and 6-of-10 from three-point range. His six threes made were the most by a Roo against a Power conference team since Evan Gilyard II hit the same mark in a win over Missouri on Nov. 15, 2021.
- Jerome Palm went for 10 rebounds against the Sooners, his third-straight game with double-digit boards. He is the first Kansas City player to reach 10 rebounds in three-straight games since Spencer Johnson from Jan. 22-29, 2011.
- CJ Evans tallied a career-high eight assists in the game against Oklahoma, the most by a Kansas City player this season. Through 12 games played he is averaging a team-leading 3.8 assists per game, the third-most in the Summit League.
- Across the past two games, the Roos are shooting a combined 19-of-38 from three-point range, good for 50% on the dot. Prior to the last two contests, Kansas City had made nine-plus threes just once, coming in the season-opening win over Evangel.
Oklahoma State Notes
- The Cowboys enter Thursday's game with a 9-1 record and are coming off their first loss of the season, an 85-76 decision at the hands of Oklahoma.
- Oklahoma State has five players averaging double-digit scoring on the season, led by Vyctorius Miller with an average of 15.6 points per game. Miller has been held under 10 points in two of the Cowboys' last four games.
- The Cowboys rank 21st in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 89.8 points per game.
- OSU owns a 9-0 advantage in the all-time series, including a 5-0 edge in games played in Stillwater.
- The last meeting came on Nov. 9, 2019, a 69-51 Cowboy win.
