- Kansas City Men's Basketball got back on track on Saturday evening with a 102-75 win over Spurgeon, snapping a nine-game losing streak. In Kansas City's two wins, the Roos are shooting 50.8% from the field. In losses, their shooting percentage dips to 40.2%.
- Jerome Palm has proven to be a steady scoring option for the Roos, reaching double digits in a team-high five-straight games. He went for career-high scoring days in back-to-back games, scoring 15 points against Weber State and following that up with a 21-point game against Spurgeon.
- Palm has also gone for back-to-back double-doubles, moving into a tie for the Summit League lead in double-doubles this season. He went for 15 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks against Weber State, the third 15-15-5 game in the NCAA this season and the first by a Kansas City player since at least the 2004-05 season, according to Sports Reference.
- Kasheem Grady II led Kansas City with a career-high 23 points against Spurgeon, knocking down five three-pointers on just seven three-point attempts. Grady has pushed his scoring average from 7.6 points per game to 10.4 points per game, reaching double digits in three of the last four contests.
- Kansas City entered Saturday's contest shooting 24.5% from three before a 10-of-18 night from long range against the Knights. It was KC's first game above 50% from three since Jan. 4, 2025.

- The Sooners enter Tuesday's contest with a 7-3 record, including a 4-0 mark in games played at the Lloyd Noble Center. OU recently took down Oklahoma State, 85-76 on Saturday.
- Nijel Pack leads the Roos with a 17.3 point per game scoring average, scoring 10-plus points and making multiple threes in 9-of-10 contests.
- Oklahoma will take care of the ball, averaging just 9.8 turnovers per game, the 26th-lowest mark in the NCAA.
- The Roos and Sooners have met just once before, a Dec. 6 meeting in Coach Marvin Menzies' first year on the KC sideline.
- The Sooners won that game, 75-53. RayQuawndis Mitchell led the Roos' scoring efforts with 18 points.
