Kansas City Notes

Kansas City Women's Soccer returns home for a game against South Dakota on Thursday. The Roos are still seeking their first Summit League win of the year and are looking to avoid a season-long three game skid.
Anika Patton made her first-career start in goal at Denver last weekend, making three saves to bring her season total to nine. She is the third Roo to make a start in goal this season, joining Audrey Brown and Hayes Fitzgerald.
Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco has been held without a goal in back-to-back games for just the second time since Aug. 24. Despite this, she still leads the Summit with eight total goals on the year.
Ashley Koch went on a streak of four-straight games with a goal from Aug. 21-31, the longest streak by a Roo this season. According to research conducted by Mississippi State's Brian Ogden, she is one of just 13 players in the NCAA this season to have a four-game goal streak.
Madelyn Muhr is the first Kansas City player to surpass the millennium mark in minutes played this year, totaling 1,010 through 12 games. She has played 90 minutes seven times this season, including five of the last seven games.

South Dakota Notes

South Dakota enters Thursday's meeting with a 6-3-4 record, including a 2-1 record in conference play. The Coyotes most recently defeated North Dakota last Sunday.
Klarissa Vega leads USD with seven goals and 16 total points, scoring in three of the Coyotes' last seven games.
The Coyotes earn corner kicks at a high rate. They average 6.85 per game, good for 14th in the NCAA.
The Roos hold a 9-4-1 advantage in the all-time series, including wins in two of the last three meetings.
South Dakota won last year's match up, a 4-2 decision on Oct. 6.
