Kansas City will look ahead to a meeting with UT Martin tomorrow
Columbia, MOÂ - Kansas City faced a tough challenge against host Mizzou, dropping the match in three sets (25-13, 25-15, 25-18). Despite the loss, Kaia Dunford led the Roos with seven kills, contributing to her team-high 7.5 points. Sydney Henry continued to shine with 17 assists and Ledisi Kpea added three kills with a hitting percentage of .250, along with a block. However, Kansas City's .159 team hitting percentage and eight total blocks couldn't slow down Mizzou's momentum.

- SET ONE / 13-25:Â The Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead with a couple of early kills, and despite a response from the Roos with a kill from Kaia Dunford, Kansas City fell behind. The Roos attempted to regain control, narrowing the score to 10-4, but Missouri continued to build their lead with consistent attacks and a service ace, pushing the score to 22-12 and finishing with a final kill from the tigers to take the set 25-13.
- SET TWO / 14-25:Â Kansas City struggled in the second set as Missouri quickly established dominance. The Tigers opened with a 6-3 lead, forcing the Roos to play from behind. Kansas City managed to narrow the score to 12-9 with a kill from Nyle Mathis and despite a few bright spots, including a kill from Ozyurek, the Roos could not keep pace. Missouri closed out the set decisively, finishing 25-15 with a final kill.
- SET THREE / 18-25:Â Missouri quickly established an early lead, capitalizing on a service error to go up 1-0. The Roos managed to tie the score at 2-2 with a kill from Kaia Dunford, but the Tigers responded with consistent attacks, reclaiming control of the set. Despite efforts from the Roos, including a kill from Nyle Mathis, Missouri extended their lead to 10-4 after a series of strong plays. Kansas City called a timeout to regroup, but Missouri continued to dominate, reaching a score of 20-12. The Roos rallied briefly, with Sydney Henry contributing a service ace to bring the score to 20-15. However, Missouri's offense proved too strong, and they secured the set 25-18 with a final kill, maintaining their momentum in the match.
