Three Roos Reach Double Digits, KC falls to Alabama A&M

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Kansas City Women's Basketball (2-3) battled it out with Alabama A&M (2-2) forcing ten lead changes, but ultimately fell 57-52 to the Bulldogs. The Roos faced scoring struggles early, but a strong third quarter allowed them to reclaim the lead momentarily and kept them within one of the Bulldogs at the end of the period. Kansas City was led by Emani Bennett and Elauni Bennett who put up 11 points each. The Bennett sisters combined for ten rebounds with El. Bennett bringing down seven. Alayna Contreras was the only other Roo to reach double-digits, earning 10 points, an assist and two steals.
