FIRST FIVE
- Kansas City Men's Basketball remains on the road for its second game against a ranked opponent this week, traveling to Omaha for a meeting with Creighton on Saturday. This will mark the first time in program history that the Roos have played top-25 opponents in back-to-back games.
- Jamar Brown continued to impress in the Roos loss to Iowa State, dropping 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting and knocking down a team-high three triples. He has now surpassed the 20-point mark eight times in his career with KC notching a 6-2 record in those games.
- Through three games, Kansas City is averaging 11.7 steals per game, the 24th-most in Division One. Five players: Jamar Brown (2.7), Anderson Kopp (2.3), Cameron Faas (1.7), Kasheem Grady II (1.3) and Davontae Hall (1.3) are all averaging more than one steal per game.
- Davontae Hall has taken on the role of facilitating the Kansas City offense, averaging 7.0 assists per game with a 4.20 assist-to-turnover ratio. He is averaging 4.0 points per game, joining Sacramento State's Deonte Williams as the only players in the nation to average seven-plus assists and four-or-fewer points per game this year.
- Against the current Big East, Kansas City holds a 3-13 all-time record. The last win came against Creighton, 72-70 (OT), on Dec. 28, 1995.
