
Roos Add Ellis-Powell as Director of Athletic Development

Kyndall Ellis-Powell will give Kansas City added experience in the world of strategic partnerships
KANSAS CITY - Kansas City Athletics has officially announced the hiring of Kyndall Ellis-Powell, filling the role of Director of Athletic Development. In her position, Ellis-Powell will assist in the development, implementation and management off the department's strategic goals and objectives.
"We are thrilled to welcome Kyndall to our KC Athletics family," Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin said. "Her wealth of experience in external and community relations will add tremendous value to our department. Kyndall will undoubtedly be a key asset to our external relations team."
Prior to arriving at Kansas City, Ellis-Powell served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Development at WeCOACH, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advocacy of women's coaches in all sports and at all levels. She was instrumental in surpassing the organization's Giving Tuesday donation goal sixfold.
She has also previously spent time as the Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships at Women Leaders in Sports, managing and activating all partnership strategies and orchestrating a 52% revenue growth from the previous year.
Ellis-Powell earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies, with a Social Science minor, from Clemson University in 2018. She then went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Public Relations, with an emphasis on Sports Media and Information, from Syracuse University in 2020.
Ellis-Powell is a distinguished member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and serves as a Member of the Kansas City Sports Commission's Emerging Leaders Board. Ellis-Powell is married to her husband, Cornell.
