The Roos Face USI Before Heading to Tulsa

Kansas City Notes

The Roos come into these matchups looking for a win. The Roos are on a two-draw streak picking up one againt UIC and another against the University of Kansas. Before their matchup, KU was receiving votes in the top 25, but the Roos hard-fought 1-1 game knocked them off the list. The draw with KU was the Roos' first result against a Power Five school since 2018.
Sophomore midfielder Brianna Castleberry came up clutch for the Roos in last week's matchup against KU, earning the game-tying goal. Leading the team in shots and shots on goal, Castleberry found the back of the net in the 52nd minute to bring the score even.
Junior Goalkeeper Riley Moore played a critical role for the Roos in their past two matchups. Moore faced 18 shots in the past two games, making three saves against UIC and another five against KU. In the matchups against Iowa and Colorado State Moore documented a career-high nine saves — she currently has 35 saves on the season.

University of Southern Indiana Notes

This will be the first matchup between the Roos and the Screaming Eagles. The Screaming Eagles lost 2-0 to the University of North Dakota. The Roos will face UND on Sep. 24 during Summit League play.
The Screaming Eagles, like the Roos, come into this matchup following a draw. USI drew 1-1 against Northern Illinois in their home stadium.

University of Tulsa Notes

Tulsa has put up two dominant wins in their most recent matchups winning 4-0 over UTEP and 2-0 over Central Arkansas. The Golden Hurricane will face UTSA on Thursday before kicking things off with the Roos.
The Golden Hurricane faced Missouri State earlier this season falling 3-1. The Roos drew with the Bears in a preseason matchup.
The last matchup between the two teams was a 1-1 draw in Kansas City on Aug. 21, 2022.
