
Full 2023 Volleyball Schedule Announced

Kansas City will host 11 home games, including the Kangaroo Klassic on Sep. 15 & 16
KANSAS CITY - Coming off an exciting summer which saw the Roos add seven new faces to the roster, Kansas City Volleyball has officially announced its full 2023 competition schedule. The Roos will be led by the program's all-time wins leader, Christi Posey, who enters her 13th season at the helm.
Kansas City will kick the season off with three-straight road tournaments, beginning with a trip to Boca Raton, Fla. for the Florida Atlantic Invitational on Aug. 25-26. The Roos will head to Missouri State the following weekend for the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational on Sep. 1-2, and will finish the road stretch in Michigan at Oakland's Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Sep. 8-9.
The Roos open up play in the Swinney Center on Sep. 15 and 16, hosting the 16th iteration of the Kangaroo Klassic. Saint Louis and SEMO, a pair of in-state rivals, will make the trip to Kansas City, and Austin Peay will round out the field. The Classic will be played in true round-robin format, with each team playing three matches. KC will begin play on the 15th with a match against SEMO at 1 p.m. and Austin Peay at 7 p.m., and will finish with a match against Saint Louis on the 16th at 2 p.m.
Summit League play will begin on Sep. 21, as the Roos travel to Omaha for a meeting with the Mavericks. Kansas City will play 16 league matches in total, playing home-and-away games with each of its eight league opponents.
The Summit League Championships will take place from Nov. 19-21 in Vermillion, S.D. The league's top-six teams will qualify and compete for a change to play in the NCAA Tournament, culminating in the semifinal and championship games in Tampa, Fla. from Dec. 14-17.
