Joanna Cardona and Catherine Chrobak picked up singles points for KC
In the absence of Kate Miley, Ashley Jacobson made her Kansas City debut today, playing in No. 2 doubles with Catherine Chrobak. Creighton took the doubles point and then grabbed quick wins at No. 5 and 6 singles to take an early advantage. However, the top of the Roos' lineup made it a match. Chrobak and Joanna Cardona picked up singles wins to make things interesting, but Creighton clinched the match moments later.

COACH KENDELL HALE, QUOTED
"Adversity comes to mind ... We had to rearrange our doubles and lost a little momentum going into singles. The top four grinded and we had chances at every position."
"(Chrobak) is the one that I know what I'm getting every single time she steps out on the court. Right now we're riding a roller coaster every time we walk out and I don't know who is going to be where ... We tend to go down to people's level and that's costing us right now."
"Today was more encouraging to see (Cardona) play the way that we know she can play. She used the whole court a lot better than she has in a while."
"No. 6 is a position that we need somebody to step into that spot and be ready to play every single time they walk out."
