The Roos will honor Seth Kacich, Carson Lindsey and Griffin Cook before the match
Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City has earned points in each of its last two contests, earning a win over Western Illinois and a draw with Omaha. The Roos will look to continue that streak against St. Thomas on Saturday in a Senior Night matchup.
- The Roos scored three goals in the win over the Leathernecks, their fifth multi-goal game of the year. Three of those five have come on the turf at Durwood Soccer Stadium, with KC collecting a 3-2-2 record in home games this season.
- Robin Balters has not allowed a goal in his last 237 minutes of game play, and was named the Summit League Defensive Peak Performer of the Week after posting clean sheets against WIU and UNO. On the season, he is allowing just 0.80 goals per game.
- The Roos will be celebrating three seniors this weekend: Seth Kacich, Carson Lindsey and Griffin Cook. Across the past five seasons, KC is 3-1-1 in its final home game of the regular season.
- Kacich has played for KC for five years and is the final Roo to have played under Rick Benben. On his career, Kacich has tallied three goals and two assists, and is a three-time Summit League Academic All-League honoree. He leads KC in minutes this season at 1,241.
- Lindsey has been with the Roos for three years after beginning at Columbia college. He has made 20 career starts in 38 appearances and has one assist on his career.
- Cook came to KC after starting at Ohio Dominican. He scored the game winner in the Roos' victory over Creighton earlier this year.
St. Thomas NotesÂ
- St. Thomas holds an 0-4-2 record in Summit League play, and are 0-4-1 in their last five games overall, including a loss to Green Bay on Tuesday.
- The Roos and Tommies hold a 1-1-1 record against each other all time, with all three meetings happening in the past three seasons.
- Kansas City defeated St. Thomas at home last year, 2-0, to clinch a spot in the Summit League Championships.
- On Sep. 29 of this year, the two teams played to a draw. Luke Hoelting scored for the Roos in the 22nd minute but UST equalized in the 66th.
- Three players have scored two goals for St. Thomas this season, including Dennis Mensah, who spent his freshman and sophomore years at Kansas City.
