Volleyball Drops a Pair to Start Billiken Invite

Kansas City took Iowa State to five sets but could not emerge victorious
ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Kansas City Volleyball took the first set against Missouri State and fought to five sets against a Big XII opponent in Friday's second game, but could not claim victory in either match. The Roos fell 3-1 to the Bears and 3-2 to Iowa State.
KEY MOMENTS VS. MISSOURI STATE
- S1 / 12-10 | Two kills by Carly Gillen, in the span of three points, put the Roos up by a pair early in the first set.
- S1 / 19-19 | Georgia Mullins sent across a kill, tying the set up after a four-point run by the Bears.
