THE ROOS, QUOTED
Head Coach Billy Donlon
- On the play of Nesbitt
- "Marvin Nesbitt was playing on one leg. That's not an excuse, South Dakota beat us, but he was playing on one leg. I told our graduating players that we just had the best season in the history of this program, and Marvin Nesbitt Jr. was a big reason for that."
- On what this year's team has taught him
- "Young people have an ability to overcome adversity and move forward. What Marv and Josiah and Arkel handled, just physically, was remarkable. We had some low points, against South Dakota State on the road we lost by 32, and two days later without skipping a beat we had one of our best games of the year at South Dakota. Our guys' willingness to handle adversity and the quality of people that they are is remarkable."
Marvin Nesbitt Jr.
- On the impact of Kansas City Men's Basketball on his life
- "It's everything I know. In five years, I turned from a boy into a man. It's home, and I'm going to miss it."
