KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Softball (6-21, 2-1) won the series against North Dakota (11-24, 1-2) behind the complete game shutout from Mia Hoveland. Ally Vonfeldt scored both runs for the Roos in the 2-0 victory.

Top 2 / 0-0 | The Fighting Hawks got their leadoff on base but two swinging strikeouts for Hoveland shut down any threat.

STATS TO NOTE

Vonfeldt had half of the Roos' hits, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate with a single, a triple and two runs scored.
Smith and Karnes were the only other Roos to earn hits, while Nichols and Smith earned an RBI each.
Hoveland threw a complete game shutout for her third win of the season, only allowing five hits while striking out four.
