Kansas City Notes
Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City allowed just two shots on goal to then-No. 8 Denver last week, earning Summit League Peak Defensive Performer of the Week honors for Seth Kacich. It is the second time Kacich has won Player of the Week honors, the first coming after his game-winning goal against Omaha in 2020.
- Christian Koffi bagged his third goal of the season and attempted five total shots against the Pioneers, placing him first in the nation in shots per game (4.6) and second in the nation in shots on goal per game (2.1).
- Kazuki Kimura's team-leading average of 0.4 goals per game is tied for the fourth-best average in the Summit League. Last season, Kimura scored two goals total.
- The Roos current average of 1.36 goals per game would be tied for the best of the Ryan Pore-era (2020), and the best since the 2017 Roos averaged 1.44 goals per match.
Eastern Illinois NotesÂ
- After notching two draws in-a-row against Western Illinois and Bradley, the Panthers fell at the hands of Oral Roberts last week, 6-1.
- The Roos won last year's matchup between these two teams, 3-1, on goals by Kimura, Vlad Jokic and Kacich. KC took eight shots on goal, allowing just four to the Panthers.
- EIU is still seeking its first Summit League victory this season, currently sitting at 0-4-1 in conference play.
- With five goals on the year, Sam Eccles leads EIU and ranks second in the Summit.
Central Arkansas Notes
- Coming off a 2-2 draw with Florida Gulf Coast, UCA sits at 5-4-3 overall and will play Liberty before Tuesday's match.
- The last time these teams met was in Coach Pore's second-career game as a head coach, with UCA taking the 2-1 victory.
- Prior to the 2020 meeting, the Roos had won six-of-seven matchups.
- Four Bears have three-plus goals on the year.
