Nesbitt, McDavid Earn TicketSmarter Players of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Athletics has announced Marvin Nesbitt Jr. of men's basketball and Brooklyn McDavid of women's basketball as the TicketSmarter Too Players of the Week for the week of Jan. 17.

Nesbitt helped lead the Roos to two wins in the past week, dropping double-digit scoring in three-of-four games. In wins over Omaha and Baptist Bible, he averaged 15 points and 7.5 rebounds. Against Oral Roberts, he dropped a team-high 19 points, pulling down nine rebounds and taking away two steals. On the season, he is averaging a team-leading 6.1 rebounds per game, ranking 7th in the Summit League. The Roos close their six-game home stand this weekend, hosting North Dakota State and North Dakota.
Brooklyn McDavid
McDavid continued her high-level play coming back from the Roos' extended break, leading the team in scoring and rebounding in both contests. In Kansas City's win over Omaha, she dropped 22 points on 10-of-17 shooting, pulling down seven rebounds and dishing out a pair of assists. It was her fifth 20-point game of the year and the third time this season she has posted double-digit field goals. At Oral Roberts, she dropped a team-high 14 points, adding six boards and two steals. Kansas City remains on the road for three games this week, beginning with Denver tonight at 8 p.m.
