COACH JACIE HOYT, QUOTED
- "We need to make shots, we just did not and their players did. Anytime you're trying to win a game against a team like South Dakota or South Dakota State, you have to make tough shots."
- "We have to take care of the ball, our turnovers were ridiculous today. I've never seen our team do that, and I was disappointed in that because I didn't feel like we gave ourselves a chance."
- "We'll take away a lot (from the past two games). I think it's a great measure of where we are, and where we need to be … It was a great opportunity for our kids to realize how physical it is, how you cannot beat yourself up, and the level of toughness and maturity that you have to have."
UP NEXT
After taking the next week off, Kansas City have its first two Summit League road battles, traveling to Omaha on Dec. 30 and to Denver to kick off the new year.
