Kansas City Drops Decision to Morehead State

Marvin Nesbitt Jr. dropped a double-double in the loss
JONESBORO, Ark. - Kansas City Men's Basketball's three-game win streak came to an end this evening as the Roos fell to Morehead State, 70-62. Josiah Allick and Anderson Kopp each scored 17 points for the Roos, while Marvin Nesbitt, Jr. posted a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double.
KEY MOMENTS
- 1H / 4-6 | After a slow start by both sides, Evan Gilyard II dropped the Roos' first field goal nearly seven minutes into the game, a three-pointer.
- 1H / 11-12 | Kopp knocked down his first of five triples on the day, bringing Kansas City within a point.
- 1H / 20-27 | After Morehead State began to extend its lead, Sam Martin found Nesbitt in the paint for a quick bucket.
- 1H / 25-31 | Josiah Allick made his first field goal of the game late in the first half, setting the tone for the second half.
- 2H / 32-40 | The two teams traded buckets back-and-forth to begin the second half, with Allick scoring a bucket to bring the Roos within eight.

- After scoring three points in the first half, Allick went for 14 in the second half to finish with 17 points, seven rebounds and a team-high five assists.
- The Roos were held to 32.1% shooting in the first half, but went for 53.3% shooting from the field in second half.
- Kansas City out-rebounded the Eagles, 34-29, led by 11 from Nesbitt.

The Roos turn right back around to take on Arkansas State tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. Morehead State defeated the Red Wolves, 75-51 yesterday.
