
Gilyard, McDavid Earn TicketSmarter Players of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Athletics has announced Evan Gilyard II of men's basketball and Brooklyn McDavid of women's basketball as the TicketSmarter Roo Players of the Week for the week of Nov. 15.
Evan Gilyard II
Gilyard has made the most of his first week in the Roo Blue and Gold, averaging a team-leading 15.3 points per game through three contests. He was a key catalyst in Kansas City's 80-66 win over Missouri last night, scoring a game-high 28 points and knocking down 6-of-8 three-point attempts. Additionally, Gilyard has notched an average of 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Gilyard and the Roos will make their home debut against Kansas Christian tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. Tickets can be bought here.
Brooklyn McDavid
McDavid, a graduate transfer from Pacific, has made some noise in the Roos' first two games of the season. In the season-opener against Southern Methodist, she went 6-of-12 from the floor, scoring 12 points and pulling down 11 rebounds for a double-double. Then, in Kansas City's home-opening win against Southern Illinois, McDavid went for 14 points in just 27 minutes, pulling down seven rebounds and blocking a shot. Her current average of 9.0 rebounds per game leads the team and ranks second in the Summit League. The Roos host Wyoming and Grand Canyon this week, tickets can be purchased here.
