McLaughlin, Munoz Earn Roo TicketSmarter Players of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Athletics has announced Morgan McLaughlin of women's soccer and Jony Munoz of men's soccer as the TicketSmarter Roo Players of the Week for the week of Oct. 25.
Morgan McLaughlin
McLaughlin played hero ball for the Roos this weekend in their win over St. Thomas, netting the game-winner in the 80th minute. The goal was McLaughlin's first of the year, and the third of her career. To this point, she has scored one goal each season she has suited up in the Roo uniform. McLaughlin also holds the team lead in assists so this year, notching three total. The Roos have won in each game that McLaughlin has either scored or assisted this season. KC is back in action for Senior Day on Sunday at 1 p.m., taking on Oral Roberts in the regular season finale.
Jony Muñoz
Muñoz made his return to action last weekend against Western Illinois after missing the six games previous, and quickly made up for lost time. He attempted six shots on the day, including the game-winner in the 44th minute. He currently ranks in the top-ten in the Summit League in per game shooting, scoring and points. For his efforts against the Leathernecks, Muñoz earned the first Summit Offensive Player of the Week honor of his career. The Roos have two games remaining in their regular season slate, traveling to St. Thomas on Saturday for a game at 1 p.m. before hosting Denver next weekend.
