
Fourteen Winter Student-Athletes Recognized on 2019-20 Academic All-WAC Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Athletics is excited to announce that 14 winter student-athletes were honored on the 2019-20 Academic All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Team. Athletes from men's and women's indoor track and field, and women's basketball were recognized. To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
Of those sports, the Roo women's indoor track and field program and men's indoor track and field team each had six individuals on the list.
"Kansas City student-athletes remain deeply committed and focused on achieving comprehensive excellence, both athletically and in their respective academic pursuits," commented Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin.
"Each of our 14 Academic All-WAC Honorees have represented our athletics department and institution in tremendous fashion, continuing to bring the Kansas City Athletics Department a great sense of pride."
