Mammoth Construction to Install Elite FieldTurf Product
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Athletics has announced the beginning phase of enhancements at Durwood Soccer Stadium. The department has partnered with Mammoth Construction to install a top-quality synthetic surface, FieldTurf CORE. The project will begin in early March and has a completion date of mid-April.
"This project is a transformational moment for our department. To be able to provide an elite surface for our student athletes will be a great asset for men's and women's soccer leadership as they recruit to make Kansas City Soccer one of the premiere programs in the nation," states Director of Athletics Dr. Brandon Martin.
FieldTurf CORE product is in use in numerous MLS and NFL stadiums highlighted by Atlanta United FC and the New England Revolution. In addition to providing the playing surface for several MLS teams, FieldTurf is also the practice facility surface provider to eight other MLS teams.
