
Paige McLean Joins Kansas City as an Academic Advisor

Kansas City Athletics announced the hire of Paige McLean as an Academic Advisor for the Student-Athlete Support Services Office (SASSO). She will be working directly with the Women's Basketball, Men's Soccer, and Women's Soccer programs.
"We are thrilled to welcome Paige to our academic support team," said Amelia Howard, Assistant Director of Academic Support. "Paige brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the department and she will help continue to elevate our programming."
Prior to this position, McLean was part of the Domestic Eligibility team at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Office. She reviewed academic records and athletic history of transfer students to assess eligibility within the NAIA according to established rules and bylaws.
Originally from Bolton, Ontario, Canada, Paige graduated in May of 2019 with her Master of Education (M Ed) in Educational School and Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Positive Coaching from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She worked as a Graduate Assistant for Mizzou Made-Academics during her time there. At Mizzou, she worked with a plethora of athletes, including: Men's Baseball, Men's Wrestling, Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving, as well as Men's Track & Field.Â
McLean earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Francis University with a B.A. in both Psychology as well as Sociology, and was a five-time Dean's/Provost list honoree. She competed as a Division I swimmer in the Northeastern Conference (NEC) and served as Team Captain for two consecutive years.Â
