
Roos Fall at Billikens

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC softball team (23-17) fell on Tuesday evening, 10-3, to cross-state foe Saint Louis (10-25) at Billiken Sports center in St. Louis, Mo.
Faith Willis paced the Roos at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with a run and a double, while Maegan Rollow went 1-for-3 with a three-run homerun.
In the game, SLU scored the game's first runs in the third and held a 2-0 lead until the top of the fifth when Willis doubled down the left field line. Catherine Friloux then reached on an error and Rollow followed with her three-run bomb to center to put UMKC ahead 3-2.
The Billikens would answer back to tie the game at 3-3 in the bottom half of the inning, before tacking on seven more in the sixth to take the contest 10-3.
The Blue & Gold return to WAC action on Friday when they take on CSU Bakersfield in California on Apr. 12-13 with Friday's first game starting at 4 p.m. CT.
