
Roos Fall to Aggies

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC softball team (25-22, 5-8) lost the opening game of a three-game WAC series against New Mexico State (25-19, 7-6), 7-0, on Friday night at NM State Softball in Las Cruces, N.M.
The host Aggies plated three runs in the first and two more in the second to go ahead 5-0.
The Roos would hold NMSU scoreless over the next three innings, while the Aggies added two more in the sixth.
Chyanne Onstad, meanwhile, notched the lone hit for UMKC, while also reaching on a walk.
Bre Hunter and Faith Willis also drew walks, while Willis also reached on a hit by pitch.
The Blue & Gold will wrap up the three game series tomorrow starting at 5 p.m. CT with the first game of a doubleheader.
