?Roos Tabbed As Favorites For 2016 WAC Men?s Golf Title

(Kansas City, Mo.) – UMKC men's golf was selected as the favorite to win the 2016 Western Athletic Conference men's golf title in a vote of the league's head coaches, who could not vote for their own team.
The 'Roos, who finished seven strokes back last season, received all six first place votes to earn the maximum 36 points. Defending champion NM State received the remaining first place vote to finish second in the voting with 29 points, one point ahead of Seattle U. Utah Valley was selected fourth with 20 points, followed by UT Rio Grande Valley, CSU Bakersfield and Chicago State. Grand Canyon was not included in the poll as the Lopes will be competing as individuals due to their NCAA Division I transition.
The 2016 WAC Men's Golf Championship tees off on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. PT at Loomis Trail Golf Club in Blaine, Wash.
