?Roos Close Road Trip With 6th Place Finish At Airstream Adventures Northwest Classic

(Kansas City, Mo.) – UMKC men's golf wrapped up its second event in the last five days, playing six rounds during that stretch, with a sixth place finish in the Airstream Adventures Northwest Classic hosted by Oregon State at the Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby, Ore.
Francois Lagraulet led the 'Roos in the event in a tie for 11th at -1 after rounds of 73, 71 and 71. Lagraulet opened the first round with birdies on two of his first three holes and added a third in the round before adding four more in round two, including his second straight on the par-5 14th. Round three once again started off hot for Lagraulet, as the Frenchman birdied the first four holes of the day, Nos. 13-16, and followed with an eagle on the par-5 second. Lagraulet would slip back over the next seven holes, but did manage one final birdie on the par-4 7th.
Antoine Rozner and Jakob Garstecki tied for 22nd in the event as both finished at +5.
Rozner started the event with a three birdie first round, including back-to-back on the par-3 13th and No. 14, before adding two more birdies in round two, including his second straight on No. 14. Rozner then closed out the event with an up-and-down final round that saw him finish the round going birdie-bogey-birdie-bogey-birdie-bogey-birdie.
Garstecki stayed steady over all three rounds, firing a 73 in each of the three rounds. The junior started off with two birdies in each of the first two rounds, including back-to-back on No. 14. Garstecki added three more birdies in round three, notching his third straight on No. 14.
Thibault Vieilledent, meanwhile, tied for 60th in the tournament at +12, carding eight birdies over the three rounds.
Senior Cameron Wiltse rounded out the UMKC lineup in a tie for 72nd at +16 finishing with three birdies in the event including one in each of the first and third rounds on hole 14.
As a team, the 'Roos played No. 14 at -12, birdieing the hole on 12 of 15 chances.
No. 34 UNLV held off No. 30 Oregon for the team title in the event, winning by eight shots at –22. The Ducks' Sulman Raza was the individual medalist in the event, winning by 4 shots over teammate Nigel Lett.
The Blue & Gold return to action on Apr. 4-5 when they head to University Place, Wash., for the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational presented by Ogio at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
