No. 69 Wichita State Takes 6-1 Win Over Kangaroos

(Wichita, Kan.) - The 69th ranked Wichita State men's tennis squad took out UMKC by a 6-1 score on Thursday at Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex.
The 'Roos (3-12) dropped all three doubles matches, and the Shockers used that momentum to take the first three singles as well, winning at No. 2, 6 and 3 to go up by a 4-0 margin.
Kansas City followed that with a win at No. 5 by Uldis Gaismins though, taking his match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. The Shockers were able to close out the rest of the matches in straight sets to secure the victory though.
UMKC will close out its week of competition on Friday when it faces Air Force in Wichita.
