'Roos Drop 6-1 Decision to Huskies Tuesday

(Kansas City, Mo.) - The Kansas City women's tennis squad started its home stand with a 6-1 loss to Northern Illinois on Tuesday afternoon at Woodside Country Club.
The Huskies (13-2) got on the board early with the doubles point, taking the wins at No. 1 and No. 2. The 'Roos (3-10) got a 9-8 victory at the No. 3 spot from Maddie Schulte and Gabriel Pintos to close out doubles.
In singles, UMKC evened the match with a straight-set win at No. 3 from Dimitra Stavrianakou, but the Huskies finished off the next five matches, including three that went to a third set.
The 'Roos will host the first Summit League cluster of the season from Thursday-Sunday
