IUPUI enters the contest with an 12-15 record overall and a 7-8 mark in Summit League play after defeating South Dakota on Saturday. Kerah Nelson leads the Jaguar attack at 16.2 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game, while Katie Comello is averaging 10.4 points per game and 3.3 assists. Nevena Markovic, meanwhile, is third on the team in scoring at 9.4 points per game and first in rebounding at 6.1 per game. As a team, IUPUI is averaging 59.8 points per game, while forcing 20.5 turnovers each contest.

UMKC Head Coach Candace Whitaker is 8-4 all-time against the Jaguars, including a 50-42 win on the road in her first match-up on Jan. 22, 2007. Last season, the two teams split the games with UMKC winning 73-55 in Kansas City and IUPUI winning 75-61 in Indianapolis. On Jan. 21, the 'Roos won in Kansas City, 63-55.
First Meeting
The UMKC women's basketball team improved to 9-1 at the home with a 63-55 win over IUPUI on Jan. 21, at the Swinney Recreation Center.
Sophomore Eilise O'Connor paced the team with 19 points, six assists and three steals, while adding five rebounds in the win. Junior Kim Nezianya, meanwhile, finished with seven points, 13 rebounds, two steals and two assists, while senior Dayon Hall-Jones was the only other 'Roo in double figures with 12 points.
As a team, the 'Roos scored 22 points off 24 IUPUI turnovers, while limiting the Jags to just 37.1 percent shooting, including 23.1 percent from three-point range. Offensively, UMKC shot 35.0 percent (7-20) from three-point range, while knocking down 87.5 percent (14-16) of their free throws.
Last Time Out
The UMKC women's basketball team (17-10, 8-7) picked up a 84-69 win over Western Illinois (11-15, 7-8) on Saturday afternoon at Western Hall behind 33 points from senior Dayon Hall-Jones, the second highest output of her career.
In the game, the Dallas, Texas native finished 12-of-18 from the field, including 5-of-8 from beyond the arc and 4-of-6 from the line, while adding a team-high seven assists.
Junior Kim Nezianya, meanwhile, added 11 points, seven rebounds and two steals, while sophomore Eilise O'Connor added nine points, six assists and five rebounds and senior Brianna Eldridge added five points, seven rebounds and two steals. Senior LeAndrea Thomas was the only other 'Roos to finish in double figures, scoring 11 points in the win, while adding four rebounds and three steals.
Defensively, the 'Roos forced 21 Leatherneck turnovers, including 13 on steals, scoring 21 points off the turnovers. On the glass, UMKC out-rebounded WIU, 42-34 and finished with 15 second chance points.
