Junior Hailey Houser added eight points in the effort, while fellow junior Ashli Hill grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
"Although this loss stings, we can't dwell on it." Houser said. "We have to have bounce back quick and not let the loss carry over to tomorrow. We need to continue to learn from our mistakes and get better. If we play as a team and all of us play with heart that will happen."
Senior Emile Blakesley got the 'Roos on the board with a three from the top of the key, and after a layup by Nezianya, Kansas City trailed by only four with 11:15 remaining in the first half.
The Dragons, though, would go on a 23-5 run to take a 34-12 lead before heading into halftime with a 38-16 lead.
Coming out of the locker room, Hill knocked down a jumper to cut the lead to 20, but a 12-2 stretch by Drexel pushed the lead to 30.
The Kangaroos would get no closer than 26 the rest of the way, while freshman Jordan Evans notched the 'Roos last field goal for her first collegiate points, sending the squad to a 76-40 defeat.
The Blue & Gold will be back in action again tomorrow when they face host LIU Brooklyn in the consolation game of the LIU Turkey Classic at 1 p.m. CT.
