George D. Harris, M.D., M.S., is a Professor and Assistant Dean at UMKC School of Medicine. He is board certified in family medicine and has certificates of added qualifications in both adolescent medicine and sports medicine. He has written widely on a variety of medical topics including areas in Sports Medicine. He is the Associate Director for the UMKC Sports Medicine Fellowship. His experience in the coverage of athletes and sporting events spans over 26 years. He was previously involved in Spring Training for Toronto Blue Jays professional baseball in the early 1990's team and continues to provide medical coverage of Division I Collegiate sports teams, presently with UMKC.
