Alex Ross joined the Student-Athlete Support Services Office (SASSO) in August of 2013. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at UMKC. She graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology.
Ross meets weekly with freshman student-athletes to help them with academic and social issues such as transitioning to college life, strengthening study skills, and meeting educational and athletic goals. She also assists student-athletes with monitoring their grades and keeping track of assignments while providing a supportive atmosphere where student-athletes can work toward optimizing their college experience.
In addition to her advising duties, Ross also tutors student-athletes in Psychology. In her free time she enjoys playing racquetball and attending kickboxing classes.
