
Men's Basketball Signs Dovydas Jencius

Jencius brings international experience and a Grind Session championship to the Roos
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Men's Basketball has added another first year player to the mix heading into 2026-27, officially announcing the signing of Dovydas Jencius today. Jencius is a 6'10 forward from Lithuania, most recently playing at Balboa Sports Academy in Florida.
Jencius played at Balboa, the athletics department at the American Collegiate Academy, in 2025-26. Throughout his lone season with the Bengals, he averaged 13.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. He aided the Bengals to a 2026 Grind Session Elevation Conference Championship, going for eight points, eight rebounds and three assists in the finals win over Legacy SSS.
Prior to his time at Balboa, he also played for Stella Azzurra in Rome and Kings Lynn Basketball Club in England. He played for the Lithuanian Youth National Team during the 2024 FIBA U16 EuroBasket, averaging 8.7 points and 6.6 rebounds across seven games played.
Jencius was born to parents Jurgita Jenciene and Liudas Jencius on June 10, 2007 in Lincolnshire, U.K. He has one sibling, Patricija.
