
Kansas City Signs Chrishawn Coleman

Coleman led Cal State Bakersfield in scoring and was sixth in the Big West last year
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Women's Basketball made a significant splash in the transfer portal by signing Chrishawn Coleman on Wednesday morning. Coleman is a 5'7 guard from Arlington, Texas and has made prior stops at Cal State Bakersfield and Morehead State before becoming the Roos' fifth signee of the cycle.Â
Most recently, Coleman paced the Roadrunners by posting 15.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 29.2 minutes per game last season. The sophomore guard was one of the most explosive scorers in the Big West, notching 24 games of double figure scoring, 11 of which were 20-plus point outings.Â
In Coleman's freshman campaign, the Arlington, Texas native was second on the Eagles in scoring, averaging 11.3 PPG and producing 15 games of double figures in points. Coleman was also awarded OVC Freshman of the Week four times at Morehead State. On Jan. 30, 2025, Coleman registered a career-high 37 points against Tennessee Tech which were the most points scored by a player in a single game across the entire OVC in 2024-25.Â
Coleman attended Mansfield Timberview High School where she scored over 1,000 career points and reached numerous career accolades. Those include: Region 1 Tournament MVP, First-Team All-Area by the Dallas Morning News, 5A UIL All-State, 5A UIL All-Tournament, Defensive Player of the Year by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.Â
