Â
- Kansas City Women's Basketball rounds out the first half of Summit League play with a pivotal meeting against South Dakota State on Saturday at 2 p.m. inside the Swinney Center. The Roos have alternated wins and losses in their last five games, with KC's latest result yielding a 54-64 decision to Denver.Â
- For the first time in her career, Zaire Harrell has recorded four straight games of scoring in double figures. Included in Harrell's strong stretch is her first double-double of 12 points and 10 boards against St. Thomas and a career-high tying 22-point effort at North Dakota. Harrell averages 14.5 PPG, 7.8 RPG and shoots 54% from the field in the Roos last four contests.Â
- Elauni Bennett is in the midst of a breakout third season, averaging a team-best 14.9 PPG and 7.6 RPG. The Lee's Summit, Mo. native leads the Summit in offensive rebounding, grabbing 4.4 a game which ranks seventh best in the country. Bennett's 60.2 FG% mark ranks third in the Summit and is top 15 nationally. The junior guard has also posted six double-doubles this season.Â
- In Kansas City's five matchups against teams ranked within the top 100 in the NET Rankings this season (KU, OU, LU, MU, NDSU), the Roos force an average of 15 turnovers per game.Â
- South Dakota State is Kansas City's 10th most played opponent in program history with 23 matchups occurring all-time. Kansas City's only win in the series was a 67-64 victory over the Jackrabbits on Jan. 11, 2010 in the Swinney Recreation Center.Â
