KANSAS CITYÂ - Kansas City Women's Soccer enters year five of the Jess Smith era in 2025 and the Roos are looking to continue their elevation after the successes of the 2024 season. Last year included a program record eight-game unbeaten streak to begin the year, including the program's first-ever result against a Top-25 ranked opponent. This season will see Kansas City take on a number of local teams, including home contests against three other Missouri schools.

Kansas City will welcome Saint Louis to town for a season-opener on Aug. 14, followed by a game against Creighton on the 17th. The Roos opened the 2024 season in St. Louis, battling to a 0-0 draw with the No. 12 Billikens. This season will mark the fourth time in the past five years that KC has taken on both opponents.
KC's first road challenge will come in Springfield, Mo. on Aug. 21 against Missouri State. The Roos have played the Bears three times since 2021, tallying a 1-1-1 record in that span.
The Roos host a pair of in-state opponents on Aug. 24 and 28, first playing host to cross-town rival Rockhurst for the first time since 2016. Kansas City will then welcome Lindenwood to town, a team that the Roos are undefeated against in two all-time meetings.
Kansas City will travel to Tulsa on Aug. 31, taking on the Golden Hurricane for the fifth-straight year. Last season, the Roos earned a 2-1 victory on Sep. 8 for the first win against Tulsa since 2019.
September will begin with a home game against Marquette on the 4th. This will be the second all-time meeting between the two squads, the first coming as a 1-1 draw last season.
KC's longest road stretch of the season comes to close out the non-conference season, beginning with a game at Missouri on Sep. 7. The Roos will then travel to SEMO on Sep. 14 and to Northern Colorado on Sep. 21.
The Roos open conference play with a home contest against Oral Roberts on Sep. 27 before opening October on the road with a game at Denver on the 2nd.
Kansas City hosts back-to-back Summit League opponents on Oct. 9 and 12, playing South Dakota and then St. Thomas. The Roos follow that up with back-to-back road games, playing at North Dakota State on Oct. 16 and at North Dakota on Oct. 19.
The Roos' final home game of the season comes against South Dakota State, hosting the Jackrabbits on Oct. 23. The regular season comes to a close at Omaha on Oct. 26.
